Dr. V. Sundarapandian is a Professor and Dean at the Research and Development Centre, Vel Tech University, Avadi, Chennai, India since September 2009. Previously, he was a Professor and Director at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala, Trivandrum, India. He earned his Doctor of Science Degree from the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, USA in May 1996. He has published over 130 Scopus-indexed research papers in International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He has authored six text-books- Numerical Linear Algebra (2008), Probability, Statistics and Queuing Theory (2009), Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations (2012), Handbook of Research on Advanced Intelligent Control Engineering and Automation (2015), Computational Intelligence Applications in Modeling and Control (2015) and Chaos Modeling and Control Systems Design (2015).

Dr. V. Sundarapandian is the India Chair of AIRCC and is the Editor-in-Chief of the AIRCC Control Journals - International Journal of Instrumentation & Control Systems, International Journal of Control Theory & Computer Modelling, International Journal of Information Technology, Control & Automation, International Journal of Chaos, Control, Modelling & Simulation, International Journal of Information Technology, Modeling & Computing, and International Journal of Control, Automation, Communication and Systems. His main research areas are: Control Systems, Chaos Theory, Optimization, Operations Research, Soft Computing, Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing.
